Squirrel-Cage Induction Motors · OEM / ODM

The motor inside the machine that feeds people.

For 27 years we have built squirrel-cage motors for one industry and one industry only — food processing machinery. Washdown-proof, stall-tolerant, and engineered around your gearbox, not ours.

Built for

Food machinery is not a general-purpose duty cycle.

A grinder stalls on frozen block. A bone saw sees shock load every second. A spiral mixer runs at 40% speed for two hours straight. We size, wind and cool our motors for exactly these curves.

Meat Grinders

High starting torque for frozen block and gristle. Reinforced shaft and bearing set for radial auger load.

1.5 – 15 kW · 4P/6P

Spiral & Planetary Mixers

Long low-speed duty without thermal derating. Two-speed and VFD-ready windings for dough development.

0.75 – 11 kW · 4P/8P dual-speed

Bone Saws

Shock-load tolerant rotor, dynamically balanced to G2.5 for blade stability. Fast brake-motor option.

1.1 – 5.5 kW · 2P/4P

Bowl Cutters

High-speed 2-pole builds with reinforced end rings. Balanced for continuous 3,000 rpm knife duty.

2.2 – 30 kW · 2P

Vegetable & Cheese Cutters

Compact C-face and flange mounts for tight machine envelopes. Stainless shaft on request.

0.37 – 3 kW · 4P

Sausage Fillers & Stuffers

Smooth low-vibration operation with hydraulic pump duty. Sealed for daily caustic washdown.

0.75 – 7.5 kW · 4P/6P

Motor series

Four platforms. Then we change whatever you need.

Every series below is a starting point, not a catalogue lock-in. Frame, shaft, terminal position, winding and paint are all open for your drawing.

FG

FG Series — Food-Grade TEFC

Our volume workhorse. Totally enclosed fan-cooled, epoxy food-safe coating, smooth non-fluted housing so debris cannot lodge in the fins.

  • 0.37 – 15 kW
  • IP55 · F class
  • IE2 / IE3
  • Aluminium frame
WBFlagship

WB Series — Washdown Stainless

AISI 304 stainless shell for daily caustic and high-pressure cleaning. Double-lip shaft seals, sloped surfaces, no water-trapping pockets.

  • 0.37 – 7.5 kW
  • IP66 / IP69K
  • IE3
  • Stainless 304 frame
HD

HD Series — High-Torque Duty

Deep-bar rotor for 250%+ starting torque. Built for frozen-block grinders and machines that stall as part of normal operation.

  • 1.5 – 30 kW
  • IP55 · H class
  • 250% LRT
  • Cast iron frame
MX

MX Series — Dual-Speed Mixer Duty

Dahlander and separate-winding two-speed builds for dough development cycles, with a thermal margin sized for hours at low speed.

  • 0.75 – 11 kW
  • 4P/8P · 2P/4P
  • PTC thermistor
  • VFD-ready insulation

In-house

We are the factory, not the trading company.

Aluminium die-casting, rotor casting, winding, machining, assembly and test all happen under one roof in Taichung. That is why a spec change takes days here instead of weeks.

01

Aluminium die-casting

650T and 400T machines casting rotors and housings in-house. No outsourced rotor quality lottery.

02

Automated winding

18 automatic winding and inserting stations, with hand-winding cells kept for prototypes and low-volume specials.

03

CNC machining

24 CNC lathes and machining centres for shafts, end shields and custom flanges to your print.

04

Vacuum varnish

VPI treatment for moisture and vibration resistance — the difference between a two-year and a ten-year motor in a wet plant.

05

Tooling shop

We cut our own dies. A dedicated frame for your machine is a tooling project we quote, not a reason to say no.

06

Test laboratory

Dynamometer, no-load/locked-rotor, surge, hi-pot, IP spray booth and vibration analysis. Every motor tested, reports on request.

How we work

From your drawing to your production line.

A typical ODM programme runs 10 to 14 weeks from first call to first container.

  1. 1Day 0–3

    Requirement review

Send us the machine, not just the motor spec. Load curve, duty cycle, envelope, target cost.

  2. 2Week 1–2

    Engineering proposal

We return a proposed design, performance curve, 3D model and unit price at your volume.

  3. 3Week 3–6

    Prototype

Two to five hand-built samples, fully tested, shipped for fit and field trial.

  4. 4Week 6–9

    Validation

You run them on the machine. We iterate winding, cooling or mounting until the curve is right.

  5. 5Week 9–13

    Tooling & pilot run

Dies cut, line set, 50–100 unit pilot lot with full inspection report and PPAP-style documentation.

  6. 6Week 14+

    Mass production

Scheduled monthly releases, FOB Taichung or DDP. Kanban and VMI arrangements available.

Compliance

Certified for the markets you sell into.

Food machinery gets inspected. Our documentation package is built so your machine passes its audit without a follow-up email to us.

ISO 9001

Quality management system, certified since 2004

CE

LVD 2014/35/EU and EMC 2014/30/EU declarations

UL / cUL

Recognised components for North American machines

CCC

China Compulsory Certification for the mainland market

RoHS / REACH

Material compliance declarations on file

IECEx-ready

Available on project basis for hazardous areas

Every motor, every shift

  • Winding resistance and insulation resistance
  • Hi-pot dielectric withstand test
  • No-load current, power and speed
  • Locked-rotor torque and current
  • Vibration to ISO 10816, balance to G2.5
  • Noise level and bearing temperature rise

Questions we get first

The practical stuff.

What is your minimum order quantity?

For a catalogue-based motor with your nameplate and paint, 50 units. For a fully custom frame requiring new tooling, 500 units per year is where the economics start to work — but talk to us, we have done smaller for the right programme.

Can you match a motor we already buy elsewhere?

Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. Send us a sample or a dimensional drawing plus the performance you need. We reverse-engineer the mounting envelope so it drops into your existing machine with no design change.

Do you private-label?

Always. Your nameplate, your paint colour, your carton, your manual. We never ship a Longshing badge into your channel unless you ask us to.

What are the sample lead times and costs?

Catalogue samples ship in 7–10 days. Custom prototypes are 3–6 weeks. Sample cost is quoted per project and credited against your first production order.

What are your payment and shipping terms?

T/T 30% deposit with balance against B/L copy, or L/C at sight for established programmes. FOB Taichung or Keelung as standard; DDP and consolidated shipping available.

What warranty do you offer?

18 months from shipment or 12 months from commissioning, whichever comes first. Failure analysis reports are provided free — we would rather find the root cause than argue about the claim.

Next step

Tell us about the machine.

The more you tell us about the load, the faster and more accurate the quote. Engineering answers within one business day — you will hear from an engineer, not a sales inbox.
